It's the second day of a new month and I feel the need to post something to get this month started.
I've been thinking that since it rained on April 1, that is a good sign of the beautiful things to come. The rain will freshen and clean everything. It will also feed and nourish things. And it washes away the yukky stuff. Yep, rain gets a bad rap, I do believe. But, just think about it...without rain there is no food and there are no flowers. And the yukky stuff just sticks around, even piling up. Rain takes care of it all - the necessary and the frills! Isn't that like God - to think of it all!
So I'm thinking that a little rain in my life could do all the same stuff - freshen me by renewing my comittment to God; wash away some of the yukky stuff that seems to pile up, and it feeds my soul as I am reminded that by the power of the Spirit, I am not only made clean and fresh, I am made holy and accecptable. All that with a little rain!
Bring it on---I'm ready for the showers!

2/27 While trying to make a secret potion, guaranteed to make his dad feel better, the 5 year old boy says, "I will need to make some modifications to this." (Larry was afraid to ask - he was glad for any delay!)
2/28 The 5 year old boy loves to recount his dreams. This morning, however, he couldn't bring himself to do it. He said, "I can't talk about it. It cracked my heart." (Can I just say that it cracked my heart to know he had a dream he can't talk about?!)

- I love my life! On any given day, I get to hang out with kids who are full of fun and pint-sized wisdom. And that's just at my job! Then I get to come home and learn lots of great stuff from the wise guys in my house - The Kid and his dad.
Austin
- These days Austin is into his friends, his video game, and anything to build with (blocks, pillows, magnetix, food items - anything that will stack!)
- At supper a few days ago, Austin asked if we were "affliated" with him. We are not sure what we meant, but we think we are!
- Austin's #1 concern these days is the decision yet to be made by our judge. His #1 prayer to God is "Please don't make me go to Atlanta." (It's ours, too) You can pray, too, that soon Austin will know where his permanent home is.

Rain almost made me fall down on Sunday morning. I'm just sayin.
However, I get what you're saying. I'm looking for a shower of His blessings to pour right down on Austin. That's the kinda rain I want!
Rain is so cleansing inside and out. God is so amazing!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for reminding me that rain is good. I'm laughin at Junebug...I didn't see her almost fall down. And I agree...prayin for some rain on Austin!
